Speaking at the event, Panday highlighted the importance of women’s safety and stressed that such initiatives must be led by women, as they are often at the forefront of these crucial efforts.

Ananya Panday praised the formation of the Hema Committee and acknowledged the progress made in raising awareness about sexual abuse. However, she noted that significant challenges remain. “There has been some progress, with people starting to discuss the issue more openly. But there’s still a long way to go, and much bigger battles to fight,” Panday stated.

The actor also pointed out recent changes within the film industry aimed at improving safety for women. She mentioned the inclusion of helpline numbers and safety clauses in contracts as positive steps. “These measures, including helpline numbers on call sheets and contracts, are crucial. It’s not just about talking; it’s about taking actionable steps to ensure safety,” Panday explained.
